My puppies

Okay so technically they aren't puppies anymore! Anyone with dogs will agree that your dogs 

are always puppies though! 

I had a very half-hearted attempt at bookeh stenciling my cameras lense with some card.

It didn't really work but heart shaped puppy photos is a good thing in my opinion!

Our Living Room!

Our shelf is a shrine to pretty and our obsession with tea. 

The mugs are one of the many thing I am 'looking after' for my international ladies...

Erin love's to dry roses and they're all over our house now! 

The photo frame was my Christmas present from Felicia. 

The snowman is pretty much settled now 

(it seems unseasonal but actually its only just snowed here)

The map shows where all our old housemates are this year :) it doesn't look as far away here! 

I made mini bunting from the calendar and added a couple of beads to weigh it down properly.

 Fun with my camera and my bright yellow bath room!

A halo of hair plaited round my head is surprisingly easy to do and really practical. 

This knitted hoody is my new favourite thing. It's not new though - my nan knitted 

for my brother when we were little... 

Hot chocolate nails!

I had fun with nail polish today - I've seen this style of painting one nail a different colour and I love it! 

Maybe I'm crazy but I always think that my fingers look longer if they're painted.

My favourite look - painted nails and a huge ring! Very flattering!

More Calendar Recycling!

I also made the old calendar into a couple of little notebooks. 

1. I made them in a very similar way to the earring holders; the main difference is that I back the patterned paper on light card - the same thickness you'd use to make a greetings card is best. I just used a glue stick to attach the calendar page but a spray on adhesive would give an even and thorough coverage.

2. For the pages, I cut out lined paper from a very boring plain spiral bound notepad. 

3. I had to experiment with how many pages of paper the sewing machine could cope with (again using the needle now devoted to sewing paper). I think about 20 is the absolutely maximum but the trick is to try a couple of millimetres of paper and if the needle doesn't push through not to force it. Just remove a few sheets until the needle can push through the sheets without too much effort. 

4. I used a wide stitch again (remember too small a stitch and the paper will just tear). I sewed a straight stitch and then a zigzag for extra strength.  

My new notebook is going to be used to jot down ideas for my blogs!

For my second book I sewed lined paper on one side  and left the other side free to decorate with another pattern.
